Rustam Minnikhanov inspects construction of OAO “Ammoni”

On May 13, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by Director General of OAO “Ammoni” Sergey Shevchenko inspected construction of the complex producing ammonia, methanol and granulated carbamide in the town of Mendeleevsk.
The plant, the construction stage of which is now at its final stage, is expected to produce 2050 tonnes of ammonia ad 680 tonnes of methanol. Methanol will be produced for regional petrochemical enterprises. Also, 30 per cent of granulated carbamide will be sold in Russia, other 70 per cent in CIS, European and Asian countries.
The construction manager representing Sojitz Corporation Hiroyuki Inokuchi said that the production will be launched in August-September 2015.
On November 13, 2010, in Yokohama, Japan, the developer of the investment project OAO “Ammoni” and consortium of international companies signed the contract for constructing the complex in Mendeleevsk. The plant with 100 different facilities will occupy the area of 35 hectares.
On March 10, the third meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the 20th anniversary Russian Venture Forum 2026 to be held in Kazan from April 8 to 10, chaired by Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and with participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and co-chair of the forum’s organizing committee Aleksey Pesoshin, President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan Damir Galiev as well as representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions and partner organizations via videoconference, took place.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
