Rustam Minnikhanov: We will support all initiatives within the framework of cooperation with Japanese partners

On May 19, at his meeting with Special Adviser to Prime Minister of Japan Eiichi Hasegawa at Tatarstan Government House, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the republic will support all initiatives within the framework of cooperation with Japanese partners.
A representative delegation of Japan led by Eiichi Hasegawa arrived in Tatarstan to find out about economic and investment potential of the republic, visit regional petrochemical and food enterprises.
According to Minnikhanov, opportunities of cooperation on certain projects will be discussed at Tatarstan-Japan business forum that will be held in Kazan. Relations between Russia and Japan have extended and it is a good opportunity to develop cooperation between regions. He added that Japanese businessmen already know about the potential of the republic, and more information about regional economy and investment opportunities will be presented during the current visit.
Minnikhanov reminded that he visited Japan within the framework of VI Russia-Japan investment forum on March 19-20, 2014 where he had very informative meetings with representatives of Japanese top companies.
Speaking about joint projects Rustam Minnikhanov mentioned Ammoni that is being implemented in cooperation with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Sojitsu Corporation in the town of Mendeleevsk (the Republic of Tatarstan). Close cooperation is realized with Mitsui company in petrochemical industry.
Yokogawa Electric has worked in Tatarstan since 2005 and opened its laboratory at Kazan National Research Technological University in 2011.
Eiichi Hasegawa thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for organization of the visit and expressed his confidence that relations on the regional level should be developed. He introduced members of the Japanese delegation, executives of leading companies, experts working in food industry, representatives of universities and small enterprises, who briefly told about their business. They are interested in cooperation with their colleagues from Tatarstan.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic.
