Rustam Minnikhanov: “Tatarstan has a very powerful informational resource”

On May 20, at the Piramida Center in Kazan Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met local mass media executives and personal correspondents of federal publications in Tatarstan.
“The media space is a very important element in our work. We deem it important to convey our thoughts to you, so you convey them to our residents,” Minnikhanov said, thanking the journalists for their work and noting that some may not like it but ‘everyone does their work to the best of their abilities’.
“I think we have a powerful information resource in our republic, and that is one of the components of competitive advantages of the republic,” he said.
For one hour and a half journalists asked Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan a lot of questions related to the economy, social policy, agriculture, sports and his personal life.
In particular, speaking of social and economic development of the republic until 2030, Minnikhanov stressed that its main aim is to improve living standard.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
