Russian folk festival “Karavon” opened in Tatarstan

On May 23, the Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Chief federal inspector in the Republic of Tatarstan Renat Timerzyanov, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President's Administrative Office Asgat Safarov, Tatarstan Minister of Culture Airat Sibgatullin and other officials took part in solemn opening of XIII Russian folk festival “Karavon-2015” in Nikolskoe village of Laishevo district.
Having arrived in the village, Rustam Minnikhanov and the delegation looked around the site of folk craft items, History Museum of Karavon Festival and watched a performance “Treasure of folk spirituality – Karavon holiday of Nikolskoe village” dedicated to 70th anniversary of Victory in WWII.
Head of Laishevo district Mikhail Afanasiev welcomed guests at opening of the festival and noted that more than 160 groups from different regions of Russia came to the festival this year.
Rustam Minnikhanov addressed guests and participants of the event: “Being very popular, Karavon is becoming more and more beautiful. Such folk holidays as Karavon, Sabantui are distinctive traditional features of our republic that are transmitting to younger generations and should be preserved”.
Within the framework of the festival , Rustam Minnikhanov presented a number of Honorary titles and Gratitude Letters. Certificate for 500,000 roubles were handed over to two groups “Sudarushka” and “Karavon”.
On 12 January, congratulating employees of the prosecutor’s office with their professional holiday - Day of the employee of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation- Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin wrote in his address:
“For more than three centuries the prosecutor's office has been the guardian of state and public security as well as constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens of our country.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
