Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in launching two new projects in SEZ “Alabuga”

On June 3, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in launching two new projects in Specialized Economic Zone “Alabuga”,- Huhtamaki food service Alabuga and HAVI Logistics that will provide services for McDonald’s company.
Speaking at the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov said that 92 billion roubles of investments have been attracted to Specialized Economic Zone “Alabuga”.
The total area of HAVI Logistics complex makes 7, 000 square metres, the production capacity – 25.5 thousand tonnes of production a year.
Huhtamaki food service Alabuga will produce 25.5 thousand tonnes of disposable tableware per year.
“Our success in Russia and Tatarstan is connected with finding the right decision on our development in this region, and creation of such a cluster in Elabuga proves that our objectives and goals are very important. Location of our business in Elabuga will let us developing it in Volga region, the Urals and Siberia,” Khazamat Khasbulatov, President of McDonald's in Russia and Central Europe said.
According to investors, the plants were built in a short time.
“Our plant is our child that was easily born. Though it is small now, it will be growing up and we will supply Central and Eastern Russia with our products,” Vice-president of Huhtamaki in Central and Eastern Europe Kim Aganimov said.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
