Agreement on cooperation between Tatarstan and Oryol region signed

On June 8, at their meeting at the Kazan Kremlin, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of the Oryol region Vadim Potomsky signed an Agreement on trade-economic, scientific-technical, social and cultural cooperation between the regions.
Speaking at the meeting, the Governor said: “I have arrived to learn from Rustam Minnikhanov how to develop a region. There is much to learn. I expected it would be great here, but I have seen even more."
Rustam Minnikhanov said that the Oryol region has industrial and agricultural potential. “The steps being taken now on creation of a specialized economic zone, and other structural reforms mean that you are willing to make the region highly developed,” Minnikhanov said.
Potomsky, in his turn, said that utility and road machinery using KAMAZ chassis is produced in the region now.
“There are many potential projects we can implement together to prove that Russian producers can be as good as foreign ones. We have got everything for it,” Potomsky said.
Minnikhanov recommended the guest getting familiar with the system “Electronic Tatarstan”. He also noted that the agreement would help cooperating in different spheres.
On March 10, the third meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the 20th anniversary Russian Venture Forum 2026 to be held in Kazan from April 8 to 10, chaired by Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and with participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and co-chair of the forum’s organizing committee Aleksey Pesoshin, President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan Damir Galiev as well as representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions and partner organizations via videoconference, took place.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
