Rustam Minnikhanov meets Prime Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia Arthur Mikvabia

On June 12, at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, Acting Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Prime Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia Arthur Mikvabia, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan yesterday.
In his interview to journalists Deputy Prime Minister Vasil Shayhraziev said that today’s meeting discussed possibilities of further cooperation between the two republics. One of the directions in this work is to assist in the preparation of the state municipal employees. "Management programmes introduced in Tatarstan could be useful and effective for Abkhazia," he said, adding that the issue related to the development of tourism was also touched upon.
The delivery of goods from Tatarstan to Abkhazia, including clothes and KAMAZ trucks, was another important topic discussed at today's working meeting. "We are also interested in products that can be purchased in Abkhazia, especially fruit," Shayhraziev continued.
In his turn Arthur Mikvabia noted that his visit to Tatarstan is the desire to continue cooperation with Russia and Tatarstan in particular. "We want to develop our relations. As for Tatarstan, we remember how the republic helped us in 1992-1993 years. We are very grateful for this," he said.
"We like the results Tatarstan achieves, we see its development and progress. We want to share experiences, knowledge and establish closer relations in all areas, including culture, economy, and friendship between our peoples," Mikvabia said.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
