Rustam Minnikhanov: Our country will be strong if the regions are strong

On June 12, at Russia Day celebrations at Gorky culture and leisure park, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan will do its best to help Russia to become a strong country.
“Our country will be strong if the regions are strong. Our power consists in our children and youth,” he said.
Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated everyone on the holiday and said he was proud of the country and achievements of the republic.
“We are proud of living in this wonderful country, proud of the Republic of Tatarstan, one of the leading regions in Russia. We are leaders in petrochemistry, and we have set a course for IT industry,” Minnikhanov said.
Chess, futsal, open gymnastics and basketball competitions, children’s cycling race, reader’s corner were organized at the event.
The reader’s corner was held for the first time in 2014. Due to this project Konstantin Khabensky, Sergei Bezrukov, Evgeny Evtushenko, Valentin Gaft and other famous people visited Kazan.
On 12 January, congratulating employees of the prosecutor’s office with their professional holiday - Day of the employee of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation- Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin wrote in his address:
“For more than three centuries the prosecutor's office has been the guardian of state and public security as well as constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens of our country.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
