Rustam Minnikhanov approves programme of Tatarstan petrochemical complex development until 2019

On June 17, at the Kazan Kremlin Interim Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Tatarstan State Council Chairman Farid Mukhametshin, permanent members of the Security Council, heads of ministries and departments, territorial bodies of federal agencies and Tatarstan enterprises took part in the meeting of the Security Council of Tatarstan.
The meeting considered and approved programme of Tatarstan petrochemical complex development for 2015-2019.
Opening the meeting, Minnikhanov reminded that it is the fourth programme for the development of petrochemical complex in the republic until 2019 established under the Strategy of socio-economic development of Tatarstan until 2030.
"Tatarstan State Council has approved the strategy, and it is the main working document for the next 15 years. The petrochemical complex and machinery have been identified the main points of economic growth," Interim Tatarstan President said.
He reminded that the strategy for the fuel and energy complex of Tatarstan until 2030 has also been adopted. “These are very important links without which the petrochemical complex development program can not be implemented," the leader of the republic pointed out.
Director of Tatneftekhiminvest Holding Rafinat Yarullin introduced the main provisions of the programme for 2015-2019. According to the programme, tasks of production modernization, creation of innovation infrastructure, reduction of harm on the environment, security, improvement of energy and resource efficiency, productivity increase are put for all sectors of the petrochemical complex.
Tasks related to maintaining the level of oil production using efficient technologies, involvement in development of extra-viscous and shale oil resources, and others are also set.
In general, Minnikhanov approved the presented program. He paid particular attention to the need to search for new directions of the chemical industry development and greater integration of production and research.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
