Minnikhanov thanked everyone for their interest in Tatarstan, as well as for arranging the visit of Tatarstan delegation to Ireland.
“Our delegation includes heads of ministries, departments and leading universities based in Tatarstan, as well as company CEOs,” said Rustam Minnikhanov. “We expect Tatarstan and Irish businesses to, over the course of the visit, find new areas for cooperation and negotiate joint projects.”
Despite the difficult political situation, relations between Russia and Ireland should be constructive, he said.
On its part Tatarstan is willing to work hard to facilitate cooperation and increase contacts between businesses.
Minnikhanov reminded that he had visited Dublin six years ago, and has seen a lot of positive changes during his current visit. "Ireland is a rapidly developing country and is recognized as one of the best for doing business," he said.
“We have good opportunities to step up the Tatarstan-Ireland economic relations,” he went on to say.
“The priority areas are high technologies, venture business, energy, information technology, electronics, machine building, machine tool manufacture, logistics and pharmaceutics.”
“Despite some signs of crisis in economy, the Russia market continues to progress. We are interested in Irish companies choosing our republic as a base for their business. We suggest Irish companies cooperate with Tatarstan," Minnikhanov summed up.
