After his welcoming speech, Khalikov noted that each of the guests contributed to the development of the republic.

"It is very pleasing that due to you and your colleagues we are today proud of the achievements Tatarstan has made,” he said.

He reminded that over the five years Tatarstan has been the leader among Russian regions in terms of efficiency of the executive authorities. “ It is not just figures, it is millions of square metres of housing, new hospitals and schools, our art workers, and, most importantly, a better general living standard,” Khalikov stressed.

In the near future, the republic is expected to take part in a Moscow-Kazan high-speed rail project and in other projects.

“We are not going to stay put. With the strong team of the President of Tatarstan, you, dear colleagues, people who solve new tasks, the republic will achieve new heights,” Ildar Khalikov told those gathered, after which proceeded by handing in the awards.
