Rustam Minnikhanov nominated as a candidate for the post of President of Tatarstan by the United Russia Party

On July 4, in Kazan, at the 23rd Conference of the Tatarstan Regional Branch of the All-Russia Political Party the United Russia Party, the United Russia Party Rustam has nominated Minnikhanov as a candidate for Tatarstan President.
At the first presidential primaries that were held on June 27, 2015, about 95 per cent of the electors voted for the Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The other two candidates who had received the highest number of votes are Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov and the former head of the Department of Internal Policy of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Oleg Morozov.
Before the conference the largest regional companies had supported the nomination of Minnikhanov for the post of President of Tatarstan.
At today's conference 316 delegates - representatives of local branches of the party voted for a candidate from the United Russia Party. According to voting results the candidacy of Rustam Minnikhanov was supported by 311 delegates. Marat Akhmetov and Oleg Morozov scored one vote each.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
