More than 500 marriages to be registered on the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity in Tatarstan

The Day of Family, Love and Fidelity will be celebrated tomorrow, on July 8, in Russia.
On July 7, at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, Head of the Department of Civil registry office Albina Shavaleeva told about the situation with marriages in the republic.
Shavaleeva told that couples, which are known in the public for their strong family traditions, achieved wellbeing together and brought up children, who are now respected in the society, receive awards every year.
It was noted that a positive population growth has been observed in the republic for the last five years, and more birth certificates than death certificates have been registered.
According to the speaker, Tatarstan takes up leading positions in the Volga Federal District in terms of natural population increase and the number of marriages registered per 1,000 population. Also, the region has the lowest divorce rate.
“Holding family holidays, days of family, love and fidelity is strategically important for the future of Russia, our Motherland, and our native Tatarstan,” Shavaleeva said.
She noted that it has become a tradition to hand over medals “For love and fidelity” to families. Therefore, 70 sets of medals will be handed over to families in the following days in Tatarstan.
Tomorrow, a solemn event with the entertainment programme to honour 10 couples among famous culture, sport, health care, and science workers will take place near Kazan Family Center.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
