Head of RT Government Rustam Minnikhanov highly assessed work of RT Ministry of Emergency situations in 2009

According to the head of RT Ministry of emergency situations Rafis Khabibullin, year 2009 became a turning point in a work of department. Presently, the unified, multilevel, structured, effectively operating system of bodies, special representatives on solving problems in the field of civil defense, protection of the population and territories against emergency situations, maintenance of fire safety and safety of people on water objects of federal, republican and municipal levels has been created.
Owing to the undertaken measures in 2009, the tendency of decreasing emergency situations by 44 percent and death of people on them by 70 percent got outlined in Tatarstan. The death-roll on water decreased 10 percent (from 259 to 233). The situation and with fires improved, so in 2009 in territory of republic there were 3739 fire outbreaks on which 275 people were lost that by 7 percent is less, than in 2008, 2134 persons have been rescued. The damage from fires has made about 156 million roubles.
Prime minister of Republic Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov gave a high assessment of the works, done by divisions of RT Ministry of emergency situations in 2009. «Results shown in crisis 2009, speak that we move in correct direction. It is necessary for us to continue developing material base, actively to introduce new technologies and even more to raise professionalism of the employees. This point is especially actual before the University games of 2013, the system of all structures should work harmoniously, and possibly abnormal situations should be worked out», - Rustam Minnikhanov noted.

On 20 December, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and House Utilities Sector of the republic Damir Shaydullin informed that huge work in capital overhaul of 713 social and cultural facilities have been completed in the republic with the total cost of work of 15bn rubles.
On 20 December, in his address on the occasion of the Russian Security Bodies Officers Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated employees and old stagers of the service with their professional holiday and wrote: “
