Rustam Minnikhanov: « Much is done for increasing living standard of pensioners»

   The employees of Branch of the Pension fund of Russia on RT have summed up the work for year 2009. In board session of PF Branch on RT held in Kazan, Prime minister of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part.
Yester-year, the pension legislation varied, and it was in difficult economic conditions. But, as chief Branch of the Pension fund of Russia on RT Marsel Imamov noted in his report it had not prevented to perform those targets, which were sounded in state-of-nation addresses of Presidents of Russia and Tatarstan, the assignments from the head of the government of republic.

   « The branch in full has realized all complex of actions on increasing pension provision and measures of social support for citizens of the republic, duly recalculation and payment of pensions, monthly monetary payments to separate categories of citizens. In Tatarstan financing all kinds of the state obligations more than 1 million 14 thousand pensioners has been in due time provided. The volume of paid means in republic by the Pension fund made almost 70 billion roubles that 15 billion is more than in 2008 », - informed Marsel Imamov.

   Within a year the pensions were adjusted 4 times. As a result they have increased on average by 1543 roubles (35 percent). And the number of appeals to bodies of the Pension fund decreased. Past year, 985 thousand people addressed to the Branch of RF Pension find on RT. This is 150 thousand less in comparison with level of 2008. « Lowering number of appeals was due to legislative decisions about non-application correction of labour pensions and prolongation of applications on set of social services », - managing director of RT Branch of Russia's pension fund said .

   Past year, on applications of citizens the territorial managements adopted approximately 500 thousand decisions, including 79 thousand new pensions were assigned. Out of them 99,7 percent - in 10-day's term. It is necessary to note, that it is the best parameter in Volga federal district.

   RT Prime minister Rustam Minnikhanov noted that recently the federal government made much to raise standard of living of pensioners in spite of the fact that it is a serious loading on the budget. Besides, big programs relating to social protection directed on protection of the poor layers of the population are operating.
