Rustam Minnikhanov was VIP guest at Kazan Sabantui

On August 1, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, FINA CEO Kornel Markulesku, Head of Crimea Sergei Aksenov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, heads of regional ministries and agencies took part in celebrations of Tatar national holiday Sabantui near Kazan.
A spectacular festive programme was organized for the guests.
Minnikhanov said that Sabantui was especially celebrated at the beginning of August so that many foreign guests could take part in the event.
“A guest is a very important person in Russia and Tatarstan. We want the world to know about our hospitality,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin welcomed the guests in three languages, - Russian, Tatar and English.
Kornel Markulesku, in his turn, thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for successful organization of FINA World Championship. He noted that representatives of all 189 national swimming federations would enjoy Sabantui celebrations.
Before the celebrations Rustam Minnikhanov took part in business breakfast with participants of FINA World Championship 2015, where the athletes shared their impressions about the championship and their achievements. Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the sportsmen for the meeting and wished new victories.

On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”

Leyla Fazleeva holds a meeting of the commission under the Rais of Tatarstan on the Russian language
On 31 March in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva hold a meeting of the Commission on the Russian language under the Rais of Tatarstan, which considered key issues of supporting and developing Russian language, including new educational initiatives and discussed programmes of popularization of Russian literature and activities to preserve the language heritage.

On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Azat Ziganshin informed that the regional central cleaning up action will be held in the republic on 25 April and clarified that the location of the national cleanup day will be announced later as the site will be chosen taking into account the opinions of Tatarstan residents.
On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional and the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Damir Shaydullin informed about statistics on the collection of utility bills payments from the population and data on the payment discipline of enterprises and organizations of the republic.
