Mintimer Shaimiev visits All-Russia historical festival “Great Bolgar”

On August 15, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev and other officials participated in solemn opening of All-Russia historical festival “Great Bolgar” held in Bolgar state historical-architectural museum reserve.
The event attracted spectators from 30 regions of Russia, as well as Belarus, Ukraine and Israel. Special tours were organized from Russian cities. The aim of the festival is reconstruction of life, culture and ammunition of XIV- XV centuries that is considered to be the Middle Ages Rise, including in Bolgar under The Golden Horde. The festival was organized by Tatarstan State Committee on tourism and non-profit organization “Historical fencing and reconstruction center “Sulitsa”. It should be mentioned that the first historical festival “Great Bolgar” took place in 2014.
Welcoming guests, Mintimer Shaimiev said that the festival is of great importance as it is the continuation of the work done in the field of renovation of two towns –Bolgar and Sviyazhsk and thanked all specialists and people who contributed to holding the festival.
In his turn, Chairman of State Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan Sergey Ivanov thanked Mintimer Shaimiev for the support rendered to the festival as well as the organizers of the event and volunteers.
Then, guests saw mass battles called buhurts on the tiltyard, looked around all sites of the festival and tried Tatar cuisine at the stall of the Tatar national fast- food chain “Tubetei”.
As for the competitions, Tatarstan was represented by a history club team of 24 members aged 19 to 30. Each member was clad in armour of The Golden Horde period. Russian national team includes two teams “Russia -1” and “Russia -3”, acting winners of World Medieval Fighting Championship.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
