Republic Tatarstan plans signing Agreement on cooperation with Cisco Company

RT Government and Cisco Company are planning to sign Agreement on cooperation. It was discussed on February, 16 at a meeting between RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov and Director General of OOO “Cisco systems” Pavel Betsis. By words of Aide to Prime Minister on foreign economic activity Iskander Muflikhanov the Agreement implies cooperation in academic projects, economic sector and projects within framework of preparing for Universiade 2013.

Iskander Mouflikhanov reminded likewise that cooperation between Republic Tatarstan and Cisco Company has been realizing in course of several years. Among Cisco customers in Tatarstan there are RT President administration , RT government, RT State council, some financial institutions, JSC “Tatneft”, JSC “Tatenergo”, JSC “KAMAZ”, “Nizhnekamskneftehim”, JSC “Tattelekom” and mobile operators. RT PM Rustam Minnikhanov charged RT Ministry of informatization and communications, Centre of information technologies under RT Cabinet, JSC “Tattelekom”, and managing company of IT-park “I-Sinergo” with developing draft agreement about cooperation with Cisco. The agreement is planned to be signed in March 2010.

Pavel Betsis replaced Director General OOO “Cisco systems” Mr Robert Agee who had managed activity of Cisco in Russia for 12 years. Pavel Betsis of 47 years old, born in Ukraine, has been working in IT industry since 1985 when he joined IBM. Since that time he has obtained extensive experience in key areas of IT industry (hardware, software, various services, venture investment) due to cooperation with large corporations and starting ones in Canada, USA, Austria, Italy, Holland and some Asian countries. Being a graduate student of Toronto University he was educated in administrative management sphere in Harvard University.
