RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov: the state, scientific institutes and the public should unite to provide life safety in modern conditions

Much attention is paid to regions in strategy of national safety of Russia by 2020. RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov reminded about it today at plenary session of international scientific-practical conference "Modern problems of life safety: experience, problems and decision making".

The conference is being held in capital of Tatarstan in KRK “Korston”. Representatives of federal power bodies, Russian regions, the far and near abroad, including USA, Austria, Israel, deputies of State Duma of Russia take part in the event.

Addressing participants of the conference Rustam Minnikhanov announced that the state, scientific institutes and the public should unite to provide life safety in modern conditions. We all wish to live safely, breathe fresh air, not be worried about life of our relatives, Rustam Minnikhanov said. All these things influence improvement of citizens’ life standards.

By words of RT Prime Minister Tatarstan is one of the regions which takes an active part in many events on maintaining high level of life safety.

Since 2004 the innovative program of development has been realized in republic. 15 techno parks and innovative sites have been created and launched. All these projects are being realized jointly with large industrial enterprises. The priority for republic is refuse from export- raw-materials model of economy development. Branches of processing and petrochemistry are developing actively. Placement of such large-scale industrial objects as enterprises of oil production and oil processing impose commitments on providing industrial safety and decreasing anthropogenic load on environment. Road safety is given special consideration.

According to RT Prime Minister life safety becomes more urgent in connection with holding Universiade 2013 in Kazan. We will have to provide safe and comfortable conditions for guests, sportsmen and other participants.

Rustam Minnikhanov is sure that in course of international scientific-practical conference "Modern problems of life safety: experience, problems and decision making" participants will find new ways of solving complicated tasks.

Chief state road traffic inspector of Russia Viktor Kiryanov made a key report about state and measures for increasing road safety in Russia. By his words without serious program of road safety at federal level the number of the dead in road accidents might be much more. Today statistics proves: taken measures give positive results.

The report of Head of Federal service on ecological, technological and atomic supervision N.G.Kutyin was dedicated to industrial safety of the country. He informed that today more than 300 000 technically dangerous works are functioning in Russia, 25 mln. of industrial objects are under ecological and technological control.

President of International academy of ecological sciences and life safety, head of Department of life safety of St. Petersburg state forestry engineering academy Oleg Rusak suggested creating All-Russian centre of systemic analysis of safety for more detailed discussion of these problems.

Press conference for representatives of mass media was held on finishing plenary session. In the second half of the day participants continued working in groups.
