Rustam Minnikhanov holds meeting with Tatarstan representatives abroad and in Russian regions

On September 28, at Tatarstan Government House, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting with representatives of Tatarstan abroad and in Russian regions.
Welcoming participants of the meeting, Minnikhanov noted that the main tasks of the republic for the coming year are set in today's address of Tatarstan President to the State Council of the republic. Long-term priorities are set forth in the Strategy of socio-economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan up to 2030, the implementation of which is our common goal, he added.
He stressed that Tatarstan is an export-oriented republic with 50% of its products being gone for export.
"We are very interested in maintaining contacts we have. At the same time, the search for new markets is underway. Over the past period our representative offices have been opened in the Crimea, Sevastopol, the UAE and China. New staff appointed in the United States, Kazakhstan, Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad region," he said.
He added that a lot of joint projects are being implemented with foreign partners. In particular, there is great potential for cooperation with Turkey. "There are good prospects for the expansion of business relations with China. First of all, this is the implementation of the Haier project. The construction of this plant should attract attention and become a kind of model for other Chinese investors,” Minnikhanov said.
He stressed that despite the sanctions, Tatarstan managed to maintain cooperation with France, the Czech Republic and Finland. Among the CIS countries Tatarstan is enjoying the most successful economic cooperation with Kazakhstan and Belarus. Tatarstan President stressed that it is necessary to intensify work with partners from the United States.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
