In this regard, an important element in enhancing the production efficiency is to apply lean techniques. Today, Tatarstan is one of the most successful regions in Russia in implementing lean production techniques in manufacturing processes, Tatarstan President emphasized.
"It all began 10 years ago at KAMAZ. Later, the practice was taken up by other companies. Lean manufacturing processes are applicable in all areas. I have a great desire to restore order in the construction industry. In addition, this technique will find application in the public sector, state and municipal institutions. The consistency, which has been presented today, will be in great demand,” he said. Appropriate programs are being adopted in Tatarstan, Minnikhanov continued.
"Our companies are actively implementing these technologies. These tools are being adopted within more than 160 Tatarstan enterprises. The KAMAZ, Zelenodolsk shipyard, Tatneft Oil Company, POZIS and others are among the leaders,” Minnikhanov said.
He stressed that KAMAZ and Interskol-Alabuga have become the first companies in Russia that have passed the certification of lean production management system.
