Rustam Minnikhanov: Tatarstan welcomes companies of Heilongjiang province to localize their production facilities in the republic

On October 11, speaking at a meeting with Governor of the Chinese province of Heilongjiang Lu Hao within the framework of his working visit to Harbin (China), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan welcomes companies of Heilongjiang province to localize their production in the republic.
The main purpose of the visit is participation in the Second Russian-Chinese Expo, the press service of Tatarstan President reports.
The sides discussed cooperation in several areas: trade and economic, education, tourism, culture and so forth.
The governor welcomed members of the Tatarstan delegation and emphasized that he is familiar with the level of the development of Tatarstan.
He said that Heilongjiang Province has been developing cross-border cooperation with Russia for a long time, but the Chinese region has been well represented only in the Far East of Russia. "We are glad to expand our presence on the Russian market, in particular, through the cooperation with Tatarstan," he said.
He stressed that Heilongjiang is an important center of heavy industry with more than 600 large and medium-sized enterprises.
He added that that all conditions to establish reliable and mutually beneficial contacts between the regions today have been provided, first of all it is the political will of the heads of China and Russia Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping.
Minnikhanov thanked the leader of the province for the opportunity to visit Harbin and take part in the Russian-Chinese Expo.
He noted that today they should lead relationships between the two regions to a qualitatively new level, proposing to establish a working group to analyze the market of Tatarstan and Heilongjiang Province and to determine the most optimal variants for the mutual supply of necessary goods.
In addition, Tatarstan President offered to prepare a draft agreement between the regions, determining the future area for cooperation.
Summing up, Minnikhanov invited the Governor of Heilongjiang Province Lu Hao to Kazan with a return visit.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
