Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov expresses his condolences to wife of Russian film director Eldar Ryazanov

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has sent a telegram of condolences to the wife of a Russian film director Eldar Ryazanov.

“Dear Emma Valeriyanovna! On behalf of all Tatarstan citizens please accept our heartfelt condolences following the death of your husband, an outstanding Soviet and Russian film director, Eldar Aleksandrovich Ryazanov. Eldar Ryazanov has always been and will be the true cultural phenomenon and priceless heritage of Russia.

He gained wide recognition as a great master of the film, the author of undying comedies, wise and ambitious creative person, full of freedom, dignity and honour.

We love his unique films, poems and we are grateful for his social activism and diligence, his unique sense of humour. In our memory Eldar Aleksandrovich Ryazanov will always be a cheerful, kind and generous person.
