On December 18, at Tatarstan Government House, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed in the order For Services to Republic of Tatarstan to Honoured Artist of Russia Nailya Garaeva “for many years of creative activity and great contribution to the development of Tatar theatre arts.”
Minnikhanov thanked Nailya Garaeva for her many years of work for the benefit of the republic, and wished her good health and further success in her work.
Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov, Aide to Tatarstan President Leila Fazleeva, Tatarstan Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin, Artistic Director of Galiaskar Kamal Tatar State Academic Theatre Farid Bikchentaev, and others took part in the ceremony.

Nailya Garaeva was born on December 18 1940 in Kazan. In 1961, she graduated from Kachalov Drama Theatre’s studio and was employed by Kamal Tatar Theatre. She teaches at Kazan State University of Culture and Arts. She is a winner of Tatarstan’s 1967 Tukai State Award, People’s Artist of TASSR of 1976, and a Russian Honoured Artist of 2010.
