Providing Great Patriotic War veterans with housing discussed at the RT Cabinet

Providing housing to Great Patriotic War veterans who submitted their applications after 1 March 2005 was discussed at the republican meeting on implementation of the Federal Law ‘On the Foundation of assistance in reforming the housing system’ in the Republic of Tatarstan, housing construction and commissioning in 2010. The meeting held in the video-conference format was chaired by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

“Veterans are the category of people that can be offended under no circumstances. All contracts with elderly people are to be concluded in time. Housing construction should be organized in 2-3 shifts. The issue of providing housing to veterans is to be under constant control,” Rustam Minnikhanov said opening the meeting.

As of May 14, according to data of the RT Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Protection, as many as 8,338 veterans who applied their applications after 1 March 2005 are registered to receive subsidies; 5.9 billion rubles was allocated by the federal centre.
