Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov: information technologies today are not just fashionable, they are in demand

RT President Rustam Minnikhanov met with members of JSC «ICL-KPO VS» Directors board in House of RT government. They discussed further development of the company at Tatarstan and Russian IT-market.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that JSC «ICL-KPO VS» has a considerable share at republican high-tech market. It is one of the core enterprises of IT-park and today it is necessary to set new tasks before it.

Chairman of «ICL-KPO VS» Directors board Nieve Spelman said that today much attention is paid to development of information technologies in Russia and Tatarstan. High technologies are used by state authorities and citizens.

Experience of Fujitsu company that is integrated with «ICL-KPO VS» will allow providing success to the most advanced global technologies, Nieve Spelman said. Thus, Tatarstan IT-market may get the most up-to-date technologies and software products.

Nieve Spelman also suggested discussing such issues as adoption and development of innovative technologies in various economic sectors of republic. She said that Fujitsu is interested in close cooperation in this sphere.

Director General of JSC «ICL-KPO VS» Viktor Dyachkov briefly presented his company to Tatarstan President, told about results of activity in 2009 and first quarter of 2010. Applied software developed by specialists of «ICL-KPO VS» is implemented in 50 Russian cities. Main regional centres are situated in Ekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Khabarovsk, Krasnodar with chief office in Kazan. Moreover, more than 110 service centres are located in Russia (10 – in Tatarstan).

One of the most significant areas of company’s activity is development of software for export.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that IT-market in republic is expanding and Tatarstan is interested in its development. Information technologies today are not just fashionable, they are in demand, he said.

Rustam Minnikhanov considers that intellectual potential of republic, presence of educational institutions make it possible to train highly skilled specialists for IT sphere. We decided that a high-capacity IT cluster will be formed in republic, Rustam Minnikhanov stressed, and «ICL-KPO VS» will play an important role in it.
