Vladimir Putin and Rustam Minnikhanov visit children’s technopark “Kvantorium” in Naberezhnye Chelny

On February 12, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited children’s technopark “Kvantorium” in Naberezhnye Chelny.

Russian Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolay Nikiforov told about achievements of the country in the sphere of high technologies for the last 7 years. He informed that there are 12 technoparks with more than 900 residents working in Russia, where more than 20,000 new jobs have been created since 2008. The total volume of products made by the residents amounted to 180 bln rubles.

Nikiforov also reported on a large-scale federal project Innopolis that is implemented in Tatarstan. Rustam Minnikhanov told more about the construction of the new city and development of future IT capital of Russia.

Vladimir Putin and Rustam Minnikhanov visited some lessons at the children’s technopark and were told about methods of teaching the basis of design, creation of remotely-piloted transport vehicles, laser technologies, and programming. The President was satisfied with everything he saw and wished students success and new discoveries.
