Rustam Minnikhanov visits family farm in Rybaya Sloboda region

On February 18, during his working trip to Rybnaya Sloboda region of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Ruzal Gabitov’s family farm for 100 cows engaged in the reproduction and fattening of cattle and milk production in the Troitsky Urai village.

Upon getting familiarized with the work of the family farm, Minnikhanov talked to heads of peasant farms and agricultural enterprises of the region. He pointed out that despite economic difficulties Tatarstan has managed to maintain all the regional programmes and reminded that 2016 was declared the Year of Water Protection Zones.

Aide to Tatarstan President Natalia Fishman in her turn noted that Rybnaya Sloboda region has been allocated 20 million roubles for implementation of the programme of water protection zones.

Ruzal Gabitov told reporters that his farm was established in 2011 and was originally located in his household. "We had planned to expand the farm and appealed to the regional head, so he allocated the land. In 2013, the farm was built at the new location. There is a cow-house for a hundred cows for fattening and a hundred cows for milking. Currently we milk 63 cows, getting 850-900 liters of milk. There are 50 calves on fattening," he went on to say.

"Two million-rouble loan was obtained to establish the farm. The total of 15 million roubles have been invested into the project, including personal funding. The regional administration helped with building materials. While, a lot of investment is being made," Gabitov said.

Moreover, a slaughterhouse was built later. "We sell the products ourselves, transporting them to the markets of Kazan and Zelenodolsk. The milk is delivered to Agromol company form Alkeyevsky region. We intend to expand the farm as much as possible."

At the moment, Gabitov employs nine people. Five of them work directly on the farm, four - in the slaughterhouse. The average salary of workers totals to 18,000 roubles.

Then, Tatarstan President visited the Yoldyz kindergarten for with 80 kids built within the regional program of 2015 in Rybnaya Sloboda urban-type settlement.
