From June, 30 regime of emergency situation is established in Republic due to drought. An operational staff for assessing situation and damage caused to agricultural enterprises in connection with destruction of some part of harvest, development of measures on reducing consequences of drought on fields will be created in republic. This was announced today by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov at traveling seminar-meeting on issues of work of RT agro-industrial complex under particular conditions this year.
The meeting was held in format of video conference with participation of all municipal regions of republic. In the event took part RT State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, Speaker of RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin and RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov.
The event was prepared by RT Ministry of agriculture and foodstuff.
Expositions of agricultural enterprises, companies which produce agricultural machinery and scientific research institutes were shown within the limits of seminar-meeting.
President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov informed that an alarming situation had emerged in republic. Tatarstan got into zone of risky agriculture. There is no sense in complaining of absence of rain. We need measures on stabilizing the situation, prevention of crops loss. Still, there is no serious support from federal centre yet.
Today our work should be based on lack of moisture in soil, high temperature of air and scientific elaborations in this sphere, RT President said. Today within the limits of exhibition of scientific achievements were presented measures on prevention of insufficient humidity of soil, ways of struggle with drought and keeping harvest under such uneasy conditions.
As for providing feed for livestock farms, Rustam Minnikhanov considers that we should not forget about support of private farms. Regions have to think about every private farm.
RT Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov reported on situation in agriculture under particular conditions. He announced that this year we would not have crops more than 1 mln. tons.
