Meeting of the organizational committee on Kazan’s preparation and hosting 27th World Summer Universiade 2013 takes place in Moscow

The meeting of the organizational committee on preparation and carrying out the 27th World Summer Students Games in Kazan in 2013 was held on August 4. Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Igor Shuvalov chaired the meeting.

The organizational committee gathered in Moscow. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov attended the meeting.

The members of the organizational committee addressed such issues as development of Kazan’s transport component for the Universiade 2013, use of sport venues after the Universiade, medical services for sportsmen and guests, preparation and use of telecommunication networks and organization of the cultural programme.

Tatarstan Youth Affairs, Sport and Tourism Minister Rafis Burganov presented a detailed report on the state of affairs in detail.

Igor Shuvalov noted of greater importance are such spheres as the development of the road network in Kazan, reconstruction of the Kazan International Airport and the railway that will link the airport with the city.

Aleksey Pesoshin will fulfill wishes of four kids during the action “The Christmas Tree of Wishes”

On 24 December Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a charity action “The Christmas Tree of Wishes” held during the 17th session of the State Council of the republic of the seventh convocation. The Head of the Government of the republic will fulfill wishes of five-year old Landysh who dreams of a guitar, 13-year old Zariva who will get a smart speaker, eight-year old Leyla dreaming of a bike and 16-year old Evelina who will be given an e-book.

Capital overhaul of social and cultural facilities completed in Tatarstan

On 20 December, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and House Utilities Sector of the republic Damir Shaydullin informed that huge work in capital overhaul of 713 social and cultural facilities have been completed in the republic with the total cost of work of 15bn rubles.

On 20 December, in his address on the occasion of the Russian Security Bodies Officers Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated employees and old stagers of the service with their professional holiday and wrote: “ Throughout the history of our state, security agencies have stood guard over national interests of Russia and protected the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country. Your high professionalism, courage and dedication to duty are a reliable shield against external and internal threats.

Aleksey Pesoshin holds a meeting of competition committee “Manager of the Year – 2025”

On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
