Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov: further development of republic is impossible without modernization of educational sector

Teachers are those people which influence all innovations in our society, in all economic sectors. It was announced by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov at republican august meeting of educators.

This year traditional august meeting was held in Nizhnekamsk (House of people’s creativity). It was dedicated to educational system as the basis of social and economic development of a region: new model of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Russian Minister of education Andrey Fursenko came to Nizhnekamsk to take part in the main meeting of teachers.

Before the meeting was started Rustam Minnikhanov and Andrey Fursenko saw theme sites organized in front of House of people’s creativity which demonstrated the work of additional education system.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov noted that today the role of education becomes more important in development of republic at large. Changes in economy, policy cause changes in educational system. Further development of republic is impossible without modernization of educational sector, Rustam Minnikhanov said.

By his words Teacher’s year 2010 was announced to enhance the prestige of this needed profession. A priority and national project “Education” that is being realized in Russia also supports all areas of educational sector.

By words of Rustam Minnikhanov, within last four years good evident changes have happened in school infrastructure, - technical bases of educational institutions were modernized, system “Electronic education” was introduced, system of school transport is developing.

Study of world experience in modernization of educational sector let Tatarstan to develop and accept new Complex program of education development for 2010-2015 years.

RT Minister of education and science Albert Gilmutdinov reported on development of educational sector and tasks for perspective. He told about innovations introduced in Tatarstan in 2010 such as transfer to new system of labor payment, new system of informatization of educational system, acceptance of Complex program of education development in RT for 2010-2015 years.

Albert Gilmutdinov informed that in work of the meeting take part representative delegation of Singapore. Yesterday memoranda on cooperation in the sphere of education were signed between Singapore and Tatarstan.
