RT President R.N. Minnikhanov holds Tatarstan Security Council Session

Security Council members and the invitees of the session considered three issues: «On perfecting system of measures on countering corruption in Republic of Tatarstan» (speaker Sh.Kh. Davletgildiev – chief of section on implementing anti-corruption policy in Republic of Tatarstan of RT President Staff), «On project of complex program on prevention in Republic of Tatarstan for 2011-2014 years » (speaker R.F. Muratov – First Deputy RT Premier), «On setting up of Interdepartmental commission of RT Security Council on transport safety» (speaker V.A. Vlasov – Secretary of RT Security Council).
Opening the session, R.N. Minnikhanov stressed that along with law enforcement work a system measures aimed at prophylaxes of corruption in the republic. So, in April 2005, by Edict of RT President, the Strategy of RT anti-corruption policy was confirmed, the Law on countering corruption and other legal-normative acts were adopted, Republican council and special state body –section at RT on implementing anti-corruption policy was established. Presently, the second republican anti-corruption is effective
Along side by Decree of RF President in national plan and national strategy of fighting corruption a range of new tasks has been put necessitated in their solving.
Besides, there are problems in practical realization of some anti-corruption measures included in federal and regional legislations. Level of corruption and crimes registered by law enforcement bodies still remains high. So, in 2009, 603 crimes against state power and interests of state and municipal service have been detected and suppressed in republic. For first year half of current 340 crimes have been detected. Among most frequently mentioned there are officials of fire-fighting, correctional registration services, local authorities and court marshals. In general, for 1,5 year 298 individuals have been brought to trial.
