Tatarstan and Sverdlovsky region will develop cooperation

Prospects of cooperation development between Tatarstan and Sverdlovsky region were discussed at the meeting between RT President Rustam Minnikhanov and region’s Governor Alexandr Misharin with public which took place at the Urals state mountain university.

In his opening speech Alexandr Misharin marked that Tatarstan is one the most reliable and well-tried partners of Sverdlovsky region. Two regions are bound by economic, cultural and purely human relations. Middle Urals – one of the most multi-national regions of Russia where more 140 nationalities live.

«Tatars are one of the native-born people of Urals», - head of the region. By his words, more 170 ths. Tatars live in Sverdlovsk region, here 40 Tatar villages are settled, Tatar language is studied at 28 schools where more 1ths. people learn. В области работают 22 Tatar public associations, 43 Muslim religious organizations are active. Special color and originality of Tatar culture is presented by 50 Tatar creative collectives of Sverdlovsk region.

Governor specially underlined that tolerance and respectful attitude to national cultures in Sverdlovsk region always were among priorities of social policy.

Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed compatriots on native language. By his opinion, we should be together to preserve native language and traditions of ancestors. The agreements signed today between Tatarstan and Sverdlovsk region will bring our regions more closer. «We will do all for our regions stay together and result of our work be effective», - RT President stated.

The first question put to the heads of regions was about support of the GPW veterans. Alexandr Misharin noted that Sverdlovsk region authorities are fulfilling and will be fulfilling all undertaken obligations before this category of citizens.

Rustam Minnikhanov stated that over 12 ths. veterans would receive apartments. Federal government allocates subsidies for this and the republic provides houses where new apartments can be chosen. RT President stressed that all issues of social and medical care are taken by in the republic under special control.

During the meeting Muslim public addressed to Alexandr Misharin with request: today with support of governor construction in the city center is under way of the so–called Center of consent – a square where the temples of different religions stand side by side. The Orthodox temple and synagogue have already been construction but erection of the mosque is frozen. Head of the was asked to promote in solving this important problem.

President of Tatarstan also responded this request – he promised to facilitate in realizing of this project.

The two leaders were asked about prospects of economic cooperation in particular, when high speed rail way will be launched between the two subjects, the agreement on which was signed by Middle Urals and Tatarstan.
«Sverdlovsk region and Tatartsan – two leading regions of the Russian Federation. Our internal regional product will exceed this year 1 trillion roubles. Structure of our economic has developed that we are necessary to each other», - rustam Minnikhanov said.

The express line which will connect Ekaterinburg and Kazan, President called a dream which already has calculations and soon is due to become a reality.

At the end of his visit to Middle Urals President Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by Alexandr Misharin visited Permanent rep-office of Tatarstan in Sverdlovsk region. Before departure of RT delegation to Singapore, chief of International airport «Koltzovo» Evgeni Chudnovsky showed President of Tatarstan new premises and told about development prospects.

RT President instructed profile ministries to study experience of «Koltzovo», airport which could be used in reconstruction of «Kazan» airport in the run-up to Universiade-2013.
