Tatarstan and Chelyabinsk Region sign cooperation agreement

The meeting of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Chelyabinsk Region Governor Mikhail Yurevich was held at the governor’s residence on October 3.

Chelyabinsk Region and Tatarstan have established good relations and in the future cooperation between the regions will develop, Mikhail Yurevich said.

Rustam Minnikhanov states that the Tatarstan delegation had seen the beautiful city of Chelyabinsk and Chelyabinsk region’s modern productions and high potential. Head of the republic thanked the governor and his team for supporting the Tatar community of Chelyabinsk Region.

The Agreement on commercial-economic, scientific-technical, social and cultural cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and Chelyabinsk Region was signed at the meeting. The Protocol of events aimed at realization of the given agreement in 2011-2013 was also signed. President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of Chelyabinsk Region Mikhail Yurevich signed the document.

From Rustam Minnikhanov’s point of view, Tatarstan and Chelyabinsk Region are large industrially developed subjects of the Russian Federation. Enterprises of the two regions are integrated with each other.

Head of Tatarstan thanked the governor for the warm welcome of the republican delegation and expressed hope that a delegation of Chelyabinsk Region would visit the Republic of Tatarstan in the near future.
