Gennady Emelianov becomes head of Elabuga region

The first organization session of Elabuga municipal council was held on October, 19. RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, representatives of RT Cabinet, RT President office, RT State Council, heads of enterprises and organizations of Elabuga region attended the event.

“Today you have to elect head of the region. The fate of region, realization of plans will depend on your decision. RT President Rustam Minnikhanov suggested candidature of Gennady Emelianov to this post, a person with great work experience. Being the head of executive committee in Elabuga he had showed his potential. All-Russian agricultural sport games, Spasskaya fair, and other important events were held in the region during this period of time”, - Ildar Khalikov addressed deputies.

Deputies unanimously approved Gennady Emelianov for the post of Head of Elabuga municipal region.

“My priority issue is population, first of all. Besides, we have to focus on arranging close work with special economic zone “Alabuga” for the purpose of increasing level of employment in Elabuga. It is also necessary to put much emphasis on agricultural sector. Thanks to leadership of republic and deputies for trusting me, we will work together”, - Gennady Emelianov said.
