Rustam Minnikhanov visits sculpture complex “Center of Asia” and meets representatives of local Tatar community

On June 30, during his working visit to Kyzyl (Tyva), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited sculpture complex “Center of Asia” on the embankment of Yenisei River.  The author of the sculpture is a famous Russian sculptor Dashi Namdakov.

During the excursion Rustam Minnikhanov was told that Tyva is geographically the center of Asia and nomads lived there for centuries connecting the Far East and Asia.

Rustam Minnikhanov also visited the National museum named after Aldan Maadyr. Founded in 1929 the museum has 117, 000 artifacts of different times – historical, cultural and natural monuments of the Republic of Tyva.  

Minnikhanov also met representatives of local Tatar community and told them about his working visit to Tyva.
