On July 5, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated Tatarstan citizens on Eid al-Fitr

“Dear Tatarstan citizens! Dear compatriots!

I congratulate you on the end of Ramadan and the blessed holiday of Eid al-Fitr! The whole Ramadan month was marked by the joy of spiritual renewal, merciful deeds and creative work. And today we are praising Allah for his mercy and the opportunity to live and create.

The continuity of generations, commitment to ideals of peace, good deeds and justice are reflected in old traditions of Eid al-Fitr holiday. By continuing and increasing good deeds of our ancestors, we call all believers for strengthening the unity of Muslim ummah based on true religious values, development and improvement of inter-ethnic and inter-religious mutual understanding and cooperation.

This year a lot of important events took place in the life of Muslims. One of them is the beginning of construction of Bolgar Islamic Academy that aims to become a leading Muslim educational center. The 4th Regional iftar gathered more than 10,000 people. I hope that Tatarstan citizens will support all these good deeds.

Let Eid al-Fitr fill your hearts with joy, warmth and love! I wish you peace, happiness, and wee-being!
