On July 7, during his working trip to Naberezhnye Chelny, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the CNH Industrial plant for production of agricultural and construction equipment.
KAMAZ and CNH Industrial joint venture for production of agricultural machinery was founded in 2010. The total investment amounted to 42 million US dollars. The design capacity is 2,500 tractors and 1,500 combines a year. Production facilities occupy an area of 55,000 square meters.
Representatives of the company told Minnikhanov that the plant employs more than 50 people. An employee benefits package includes free meals, medical insurance, additional insurance against accidents at work and at home.
Minnikhanov got acquainted with the main production processes. He was told that more than 360 kinds of components and parts are made at the factory.
Then Minnikhanov got acquainted with the CNH Industrial training centre, designed to improve skills in the management and maintenance of equipment made by NewHollandAgriculture, CaseIH,CaseConstruction, NewHollandeConstruction Iveco. More than 700 people are expected to be trained here annually.
Tatarstan Minister of Agriculture Marat Akhmetov, Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny Nail Magdeev, General Director of CNH Industrial Russia Fabrizio Cipollino, Aide to Tatarstan President Albert Nafigin, and other officials were accompanying Minnikhanov.
