On July 9, at Tatarstan Government House, speaking at a video-conference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of all municipalities, Tatarstan Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Utilities Irek Faizullin reported that more than 1 mln 139 thousand square meters of housing have been commissioned in Tatarstan since the beginning of the year.
Faizullin noted that the State Construction Supervision Inspectorate and State Labour Inspectorate have carried out 587 inspections since the beginning of the year, with 318 resolutions for the sum of 9 million 669 thousand roubles for violation of labour safety rules having been passed. As many as 16 accidents, with 5 of them being fatal, occurred in the construction industry during the the first half of 2016.
According to the Minister, falling from height and impact of flying objects are the most common types of injuries and constitute 62 per cent of the total number of accidents.
Addressing all supervisory agencies, Minnikhanov appealed to them to step up requirements to comply with safety standards.
Faizullin went on to report that 6 houses with a total area of 110.1 thousand square meters for 1967 apartments have been commissioned under the social mortgage programme. Besides, 22 rental houses with a total area of 14.4 thousand square meters are planned to be built. At present, finishing works are underway at all sites.
He continued that 42 houses are being built under the programme to improve living conditions for WWII veterans.
As of today, the construction of 11 rural clubs has been completed. According to Faizullin, the other 34 objects are in different stages of readiness.
The construction of modular anatomic pathology departments and modular medical ambulance stations is being carried out in accordance with the schedule.
As of July 8, 2016, 177 of 188 facilities have been put into operation in 43 municipalities under the programme of construction of universal sports grounds. Work is underway at eleven objects.
