Rustam Minnikhanov met with chairman of national oil corporation of Libya Shukri Ganem

At the meeting with RT President Rustam Minnikhanov Chairman of Libyan National Oil Company Shukri Ganem told about the interest in developing relations with Tatarstan and oil-producing company “Tatneft”.
The meeting was held in House of RT government.
Welcoming the guests, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Mr Shukri Ganem for supporting joint projects and interest towards Tatarstan.
Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that oil-producing company “Tatneft” has been working in Libya since 2005. “Tatneft” is carrying out exploration works on 4 areas. About 200 mln. US dollars were allocated for realization of these projects. JSC “Tatneft” has become the first Russian company which entered Libyan oil market.
Shukri Ganem, in his turn, said that now Libyan National Oil Company (NOC) and JSC “Tatneft” are working successfully.
Shukri Ganem conveyed a message of greetings to Rustam Minnikhanov from leader of Libya Muammar Kaddafi. On behalf of Kaddafi he invited President of Tatarstan to visit Libya.
Director general of JSC “Tatneft” Shafagat Takhautdinov reported on course of works over joint projects. He informed that during the visit to Tatarstan on October, 27-29 delegation of national oil corporation had been to some divisions and production objects of JSC “Tatneft” (Almetievsk city) and got familiar with modern technologies and equipment used in the company.
Besides, Libyan specialists learnt about work of Centre on personnel training that implements training and professional development of employees and specialists of oil-producing and processing sector and highly assessed its activity.
Shafagat Takhautdinov characterized the visit of Libyan delegation as useful and purposeful. By his words, issues of further decrease of cost for implemented works, use of new technologies were discussed at the meeting.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
