Marat Akhmetov: As of the first half of the year Tatarstan has maintained the total number of the cattle stock

On July 18, speaking at a regional meeting at Tatarstan Government House, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov said that as of July 18, 2016 a total of 216 hectares have been processed, 661 tonnes of grain have been milled, with a crop yield making 30.6 centners per hectare in Tatarstan.

Akhemtov reported that ten regions of the republic have proceeded to harvesting.

The Minister briefly reported on the results of the cattle breeding for the first half of the year.

According to the Minister, Tatarstan has maintained the number of the cattle stock. "As of July 1, 2016, cattle population totaled to 1048.8 thousand animals,” he reported.

"Livestock breeders have generated nearly 80% of revenue, or 30 million roubles, in the agricultural sector of Tatarstan," Akhmetov said.

On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
