Arabic company Al Habtoor to implement major developing projects in Kazan

On November, 8 RT President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Chairman of group of companies “Al Habtoor” Halaf Al Habtoor in House of RT government. Rustam Minnikhanov told Arabic guest about social and economic development of Tatarstan, major industries and defined main perspectives of cooperation between group of companies “Al Habtoor” and Tatarstan.

Earlier Director of Department on external relations under RT President – Aide to RT President on international issues Timur Akulov, First deputy head of executive committee of the city Rustam Nigmatullin and Vice-mayor of Kazan Oskar Prokopyev presented four projects developed by Kazan company “Millenium Zilant City” to Mr Al Habtoor in Kazan city hall. One of the projects is development of right bank of the Kazanka river, construction of multilayer parkings and two projects of complex apartment blocks – “Watercolors” on the territory of former tram depot in Pavlyukhina street and “Metropolis” between Esperanto and Kalinina streets.

By words of Oskar Prokopyev, many of these projects had been developed before the crisis hwn it was possible to get loans in banks. Now leadership of the city relies on major investors.

Halaf Al Habtoor noted that his company would consider the projects offered by Kazan in details.

We remind that group of companies “Al Habtoor” was founded 40 years ago. In 1969 Halaf Al Habtoor decided to start his own business and founded the company “Al Habtoor engineering”, that is now the core one of Al Habtoor group. Currently Al Habtoor Group is a leading construction company not only in United Arab Emirates but far outside the state. The company constructed such distinguished highlights of Dubai as the hotel Burdzh Al Arab, Dzhumeira Beach and Madinat Dzhumeira and the terminal of Sheikh Rashid Dubaisky at international airport. To add to this, the following international projects deserve much attention likewise: Al Ghurair City Centre 2, conference centres Jebel Ali, hotel JW Marriott in Abu Dhabi and Dubai Tower in Quatar.
