His Holiness the Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia arrives in Tatarstan

On July 20, His Holiness the Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, who arrived on a two-day working visit in Kazan, was met by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Russian Presidential Envoy in Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich, and other officials.

Patriarch Kirill will take part in laying of the foundation stone of the Cathedral of the Kazan icon of the Mother of God and meet the believers.

Upon arrival Patriarch Kirill went to Kaipy village in Laishevo region, homeland of Gavriil Derzhavin to take part in unveiling of the monument to the Russian poet and politician. Also, he will visit eparchial administration of the republic and the island town of Sviyazhsk.

On July 21, Patriarch Kirill will hold a divine liturgy at the Annunciation Cathedral of the Kazan Kremlin.
