Rustam Minnikhanov meets with delegation of “FT Consortium” (Finland)

Today RT President Rustam Minnikhanov held meeting with delegation of “FT Consortium” (Finland) headed by chairman Jaakko Ihamuotila in RT Cabinet.

Tatarstan President noted in welcoming speech that the week before official delegation from Finland headed by the President Tarja Halonen had visited Kazan. This visit will stimulate development of cooperation between Russia and Finland. Tatarstan, in his turn, will intensively be involved into the process of expanding contacts with Finland.

“Finland is a serious partner of our country. We are interested in your experience in the sphere of innovations, energy-saving technologies and education”, - Rustam Minnikhanov said. By his words, Tatarstan and Finnish companies are cooperating successfully. But we have to put our relations to the higher level. Today’s meeting will allow covering new perspective sectors for cooperation. In particular, joint business may be arranged in such spheres as petrochemistry, energy and resource saving.

Ad notam: “Finland-Tatarstan Consortium” is a private Finnish consortium created for establishing partnership relations and cooperation with the Republic of Tatarstan in industrial and economic development by consulting. Its activity is aimed at creating international competitive structure in petrochemical sector and developing cooperation between Tatarstan enterprises at the expense of expanding access to advanced technologies and services.

Acting partners of consortium are major international Finnish corporations with the working experience at global market in the sphere of advanced technological processes, engineering, construction and projects management.
