Head of Tatarstan government Ildar Khalikov met with managing director of «Dar AI Sharia Legal & Financial Consultancy LLC» of Islamic Bank Dubai Hussein Hamed Hasan

RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and managing director of consulting company «Dar AI Sharia Legal & Financial Consultancy LLC» of Islamic Bank Dubai Dr Hussein Hamed Hasan discussed possibility of participation of Islamic financing tools in RT economy. The meeting was held in House of RT government.

Ildar Khalikov welcomed guests on behalf of the President Rustam Minnikhanov and thanked for shown interest towards republic. Today Tatarstan pays much attention to all possibilities of cooperating with institutions of Islamic bank of development and financial organizations working by Islamic canons, Ildar Khalikov said.

By his words, one striking example is holding of international forum of Islamic business and finance in Kazan - Kazansummit and other events with participation of Islamic financial institutes.

Hussein Hamed Hasan noted that under modern economic conditions Islamic financial tools become the part of international financial system and are in demand in many countries. He informed that Islamic banks had issued Islamic securities called “sukuk” which are in demand in USA, China and some European countries (France, Germany). By words of Hussein Hamed Hasan, up to 80 % of “sukuk” are asked-for by international banks.

Upon the whole, Hussein Hamed Hasan positively assessed some investment projects realized in Tatarstan. He suggested considering possibility of participation of Islamic banking in financing some investment projects in the sphere of petrochemistry and oil processing.

Tatarstan was presented at the meeting by Aide to RT President Iskander Mouflikhanov, Director General of JSC “Tatneftehiminvest-holding” Rafinat Yarullin, Director General of ZAO “Tatgasinvest” Rinat Khanbikov, Director General of IFK “Linova” Linar Yakupov and others.
