“I have visited Tatarstan quite often for the last few years and have paid attention to development of navigation system GLONASS. Among Russian regions Tatarstan is one of the leaders in implementing this system”, - Sergey Ivanov addressed to Head of republic.

“I would like to thank you for these innovations as far as I know that Tatarstan is one of few Russian regions which “took a risk” to implement GLONASS at all service transport of the government. Not all regions are ready for this”, - Vice-premier said.

Rustam Minnikhanov in his turn thanked Sergey Ivanov for appearance of GLONASS. He stressed that absolutely all school buses are equipped with GLONASS navigators. “We had many problems with interurban bus transportations, but as soon as satellite navigators were installed at all buses, the rate of road accidents immediately decreased. We see just enormous advantages of using GLONASS. Both state and municipal authorities are working with this system. Such major companies as “Tatneft” provide their transport with GLONASS receivers.

By words of Rustam Minnikhanov in future satellite navigation will be widely used in construction sphere, maintenance of bridges and hydrotechnical constructions.
