On August 22, upon his arrival on a working visit in Yelabuga region of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov flied over the region's fields by a helicopter.
At his meeting with regional farmers Minnikhanov was told that 98 per cent of areas have been trashed, with a grain croppage of 78,500 tonnes and average crop yield of 25.1 centners per hectare. The harvesting of grain and legumes is planned to be completed within next two days in the region.
After the meeting Minnikhanov accompanied by his Aide Olesya Baltusova, Chief Enlistment Officer of the republic Sergey Pogodin, Minister of Health of the republic Adel Vafin, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the republic Elmira Zaripova, Rector of Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov made the round of the historic center of Yelabuga.
During the detour they were told about the implemented and future projects.
Then they went to see the embankment, where the project of berth capital construction was presented.
