Tatarstan President calls for taking part in charity campaign “Help to get ready for school”

On August 23, at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to campaign “Help to get ready for school”, Aide to Tatarstan President Leila Fazleeva informed that 44, 436 children will go to school in 2016-2017 academic year, and 9,484 of them need charity support.

Fazleeva continued that the regional campaign was launched in Verkhneuslonsky, Zelenodolsk regions of the republic and Kirov district of Kazan.  The campaign has been held since 2007, and 150, 000 children have received support for the sum of 234 mln rubles.  

Fazleeva told that the campaign implies helping all children to prepare for new academic year. Children from low-income families, children of disabled parents or adopted children receive school bags that are traditionally handed over during events dedicated to the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan or Knowledge Day.

According to Fazleeva, the campaign supported by Tatarstan President always has positive feedback among population.

In accordance with Tatarstan President’s errand, all children from Tatarstan, who were injured in the fire at Vityazevo camp in Anapa on August 11, will receive help.
