Economic potential of Tatarstan presented to members of American commercial chamber in Moscow

Presentation of the Republic of Tatarstan has been held today for members of American commercial chamber in Russia. RT president Rustam Minnikhanov and president of American commercial chamber Andrew Somers took part in the meeting.

“Our task is to address the needs of business. We want to create proper conditions for potential investors”, - Rustam Minnikhanov said.

“We also make mistakes and have some shortcomings in our work. But we visit other countries to learn and adopt foreign experience, and we want you to help us with arranging our work for more intense attraction of investors”, - RT President said. He added likewise that Tatarstan is interested in technologies which do not have counterparts in Russia. “You will see that our republic is a partner to rely on”, - he emphasized.

Members of the meeting could see presentation videos about Tatarstan and Universiade - 2013. Aide to RT president Iskander Muflikhanov told about economic and investment potential of republic. Deputies of director general of executive directorate of Universiade Steven O’Konnor and Lyaisan Akhunsyanova told about preparation for Universiade.

Director general of JSC “Tatneftehiminvest-holding” Rafinat Yarullin told about petrochemical potential of Tatarstan.

Director general of JSC “Wienerberger Investitions und projektmanagement” Alfred Hofer shared positive impressions left after cooperation with leadership of Tatarstan.

On finishing the meeting, members of presentation asked questions addressed to Rustam Minnikhanov. They were dedicated to pharmaceutical business, energy saving and tourism. Members of Tatarstan delegation answered these questions after presentation.
