Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in opening of the second construction stage of the bridge over Kama River

On August 30, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian Minister of Transport Maksim Sokolov opened the second construction stage of the bridge over the Kama River.

Before the official ceremony the guests delivered welcoming speeches and handed over state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan and Russian Ministry of Transport to people, who took part in the construction of the 1608-meter long bridge.  The bridge is a part of the motorway Europe-China and connects M5 and M7 motorways.  The second stage of the bridge over the Kama River cost 4,53 bln rubles.

According to Sokolov, nine more bridges, in Ufa (Bashkiria), Udmurtia, Novgorod, and four bridges in St. Petersburg will be opened in Russia this year.
